Leon County CommissionersLeon County commissioners took the following action during their Tuesday meeting:
Approved an agreement with Kimley-Horn
and Associates to complete a project development and environmental study for
the proposed Lake Jackson ecopassage. The ecopassage would allow turtles and
other wildlife around Lake Jackson to safely cross U.S. Highway 27. The
Florida Department of Transportation has already given $60,000 for the study,
which will make the ecopassage project eligible for federal dollars.
