The Lake Jackson Ecopassage Alliance, Inc.
The Lake Jackson Ecopassage Alliance, Inc. is a group of concerned citizens and environmental groups whose goal is to see the construction of a permanent ecopassage along US Highway 27 where it bisects Lake Jackson. Activities of the Alliance include:
developing broad-based public awareness and support for the Lake Jackson Ecopassage
working with public officials
working with the Department of Transportation, Leon County, and other organizations to design the Lake Jackson Ecopassage
securing funding for the Lake Jackson Ecopassage
providing input to the Lake Jackson Ecopassage Project Advisory Group
monitoring of temporary fences
maintenance and repair of temporary fences
litter pick up along US Highway 27 and the US 27 Boat Ramp
fund raising
public outreach
circulating of fliers
providing presentations to schools
providing presentations to civic groups
interacting with the media through press releases, press conferences, and interviews
maintenance of the Lake Jackson Ecopassage web site
attending local events to promote the Lake Jackson Ecopassage
